Running With Kids

Some days I love it, some days it’s a good opportunity for me to practice patience! Yesterday I loved it. Since I’m not on a training plan right now, I don’t have any specific time/pace/distance/heart rate to hit…which makes it easier to just enjoy hanging out with my kiddos rather than getting frustrated that my run isn’t going the way it should.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who does that 😬

The kids are always begging to ride their bikes, so I figured it’d be a good day to go! The weather was decent, overcast but in the 40’s, so we headed out.

We set out to do 2 miles, one out and one back. It’s always interesting trying to run with kids, the first half they’re full of energy…then they drag the second half! They still don’t understand the concept of pacing themselves. Not that I can blame them, it took me s long time to learn that lesson as well!

It was a good thing we squeezed in some outdoor time yesterday, because woke up to snow today!

Do you run with your kids? How does it go?

    1. I love that they want to get out there and be active with me! Gotta take advantage of it while I can!
